“The Last Waltz of Viipuri – a play about life’s beauty” is an absurd tragicomedy set in the Battle of Vyborg, which took place towards the end of the Second World War. For many, the 1944 battle marks the darkest days in Finnish military history. The story follows a group of young individuals who are brought together by the battle. As a group, they experience not only the hell of war, but also a hell of their own souls. The play is an analysis of people in hell, and presents a valid statement for any war at any time in human history. (Tinfo/Sunklo)
